Data Protection Complaints Procedure

How to Make a Data Protection Complaint

I am committed to protecting your personal information and complying with UK data protection law. If you have concerns about how I have collected, stored, used or shared your personal data, I encourage you to raise them with me so that I can investigate and resolve the matter.

Complaints can be made by email or in writing:

Email: info@marymulherin.com

Please provide:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Details of your concern or complaint
  • Any relevant dates or information that may assist with the investigation

What Happens Next?

Acknowledgement

I will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 30 days.

Investigation

I will investigate your complaint fairly and thoroughly. This may involve reviewing records, correspondence and any relevant data processing activities.

Response

I will provide a written response setting out:

  • The outcome of my investigation
  • Any action taken to address the complaint
  • Any further steps available to you if you remain dissatisfied

I aim to respond without undue delay and, where possible, within 30 days of acknowledging your complaint. If the matter is particularly complex and requires more time, I will keep you informed of progress.

If You Are Not Satisfied

If you remain dissatisfied with my response, you have the right to raise your concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent authority for data protection matters.
